Huelmo is not a typical tourist destination. But paradoxically
it has everything many tourists actually want,
the South of Chile, just as it always has been.
Visiting this area one can appreciate how people here
relate to nature and the resources it offers:
sea, land, animals, trees…
and meet local people, kind and unassuming who are
usually ready to have a chat. In Huelmo you get to
know how life is at the end of the world…

If you go to the South of Chile, to spend a few days
in Huelmo is a way of seeing without intruding and looking
without being seen, because the traveller is not really
an economic resource for the area.
Here there are no bars, restaurants,
souvenir shops.
The visitor will be captivated by the natural
beauty that surrounds them, the sound of the sea
and the birds, within site of the ever-present volcanoes.
